Dr. Emily Muszynski

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Muszynski is a licensed psychologist who provides psychotherapy to individuals and families across the lifespan, as well as psychological evaluations for both children and adults. She earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from LeTourneau University and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at UT Health San Antonio and her postdoctoral fellowship at Clarity Child Guidance Center. Dr. Muszynski has worked in hospitals, non-profits, college counseling centers, and school systems. In therapy, Dr. Muszynski emphasizes the patient-therapist relationship, creating a warm, collaborative, and safe environment in which to process life's challenges. She also practices from a trauma-informed approach, meaning that Dr. Muszynski takes special care to recognize the traumas and past experiences that impact present day concerns. While her training background is diverse, allowing her to work with a variety of presenting issues, Dr. Muszynski specializes in the treatment of trauma. She is trained in a number of trauma treatments and is also available to provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. In addition to clinical services, Dr. Muszynski is passionate about community outreach, training, and teaching. She has served as an adjunct instructor and supervisor, and she has provided numerous community presentations related to mental health and complex trauma. Dr. Muszynski is a member of the American Psychological Association, APA Division 56 Trauma Psychology, San Antonio Society for Psychoanalytic Studies, and Bexar County Psychological Association.
